Getting Here / Parking
Magnolia’s on King is located at the cross roads of King Street and Washington Street in Alexandria, VA. Ample street parking is available throughout Old Town, or take Metro's Yellow Line to the King Street Station, then use the free Old Town Trolley and exit at the King Street / South Columbus Street stop, one block from us. Alternatively, the Courthouse Parking Garage is conveniently located at 111 South Pitt Street, about 2.5 blocks from the restaurant.

Hans Fogleman, Sous Chef / Pastry Chef
Born and raised in the Washington, DC metro area, Fogleman has maintained his roots and pursued his culinary interests locally. He attended the Baltimore International Culinary College, graduating in 1997. Since then Fogleman has pursued various culinary experiences, honing his skills and passion for all things pastry, focusing on desserts. In 2011, he joined Bayou Bakery in Arlington, VA. Then in 2014, he accepted a position with the team at BLT Steak in Washington, DC. He next moved to Alexandria, Virginia to join the opening team at Magnolia’s on King in March 2015. Here he is developing the dessert menu showcasing homemade pastries and sweets to honor Virginia’s Southern hospitality.
Having spent a lifetime in various business settings and entrepreneurial roles, Steve brings leadership, business acumen and vision to Magnolia’s on King. Of the many places Steve has traveled throughout the world, he treasures the warm hospitality and delicious food found in the South.
With more than 20 years of experience in international culinary settings, Mehrnoosh brings her various roles from Chef to Partner to the kitchen of Magnolia’s on King. After settling her roots most recently to Alexandria, VA, she is combining her love of excellent cuisine with the traditions of Virginia hospitality.

We welcome guests in our main floor dining room and our second floor Palm Lounge with a focus on Southern hospitality, locally sourced ingredients and signature craft cocktails. Currently we offer dinner service Monday through Saturday, brunch is served Saturday and Sunday from 11 am to 3 pm, and are looking for qualified individuals who thrive on providing a welcoming environment and outstanding service to join our team. Hosts Who Embody Southern Hospitality
We are looking for part time hosts who sparkle and embody the best of Southern hospitality. We are building a tight team of professionals that love food, libations, hosting our guests and turning them into raving fans! Flexible availability is important, must be able to work Friday and Saturday evenings. Required experience: Top candidates will have Open Table and upscale restaurant experience. The right approach to service matters most to us; a minimum of one year customer service experience is required.
We are seeking passionate, talented staff looking to practice their craft in a supportive environment. Our perfect candidate is a bartender with experience, enthusiasm, cleanliness, and a strong palate. Compensation will be at an hourly rate, commensurate with experience and ability, plus tips. Required experience: Bartender - 2 years minimum with at least one year upscale craft cocktail experience.
Servers Looking for a Restaurant “Home”
We are looking for part time servers who are serious about the hospitality industry and have a desire to take their career to the next level. We are building a tight team of professionals that love food, libations, hosting our guests and turning them into raving fans! We offer competitive hourly rates, plus tips, and flexible schedules. We are open for dinner only Monday through Saturday. Closed Sundays. Must be available beginning at 4 PM daily. At least one year server experience in an upscale dining establishment required.
We are looking for a part time Bartender’s Assistant, who must be able to work Friday and Saturday evenings. The perfect candidate will have a welcoming personality, enjoy working with the public, be able to communicate well with guests and colleagues, display an eye for detail, a team service orientation and have at least one year experience in a front service or supporting role in an upscale bar or restaurant environment.
The Bartender Assistant is integral in providing excellent service to our guests. This person provides support to our bar staff by assisting with the prep and set-up of the bar and lounge, maintains needed supplies during service including glassware and tableware, delivers food and drinks to patrons, does table maintenance, clearing, cleaning, re-setting and any other tasks necessary to ensure our patrons have a memorable experience.
